Historical Exploration

Past Times for Children

Children will discover what it was like to live in Carroll County in the 1800s.  They will travel back in time to experience life on the farm through creative activities, songs, stories & crafts.  This program focuses on a different topic each month and includes a craft or activity that reinforces the theme.

Classes are held the 3rd Saturday of each month from 10:00am to 11:15am in the Koontz-Yingling Learning Center at Cockey’s, 216 East Main Street in Westminster, MD.

There’s a $6.00 fee for each class, which includes materials.  Pre-registration is required; registration closes the Monday before each class.  You can find Past Time’s monthly schedule under Programs and Events  as well as click here for a brochure.

“Time Travelers Suitcase”

Register and pay in advance for 6 classes at the discount price of $30 and your child will receive a special “Time Traveler’s Suitcase”, which includes a surprise gift for your child at each class attended. No refunds; however, substitutions may be allowed.
