Children ages 4 to 8 discover what it was like to live in Carroll County in the 1800s during the Past Times for Children program.
At September’s session, children will explore the world of food and how to find it on a farm. Jack wakes up and asks his mom for pancakes and then the food adventure begins in the book “Pancakes Pancakes” by Eric Carle.
Participants will make butter and eat it with homemade pancakes.
Classes are held the third Saturday of each month from 10:00 to 11:15 a.m. in the Koontz-Yingling Learning Center at Cockey’s, 216 East Main Street in Westminster.
Registration is required and closes the Monday before the class. There is a $6 charge, which includes materials.
We suggest children only during the first portion of the class. Caregivers are invited to join their child for the craft time at the end of the class.
Caregivers accompanying a child must be 18 years or older and are required to remain in the building. Please let us know of any food restrictions.
