9th Annual Legacy Gala: Some Enchanted Evening

We invite you to join us for the Historical Society of Carroll County’s Legacy Gala to celebrate this year’s theme Some Enchanted Evening with dining, dancing, and socializing. Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein, II are considered to be the greatest Broadway musical team of all time. This year’s gala theme, Some Enchanted Evening, celebrates the 80th anniversary of their partnership. Their string of mega-hit shows include: Oklahoma – 1943, Carousel – 1945, South Pacific – 1949, King and I – 1951, Cinderella – 1957, and Sound of Music – 1959. Their shows garnered 34 Tony Awards,15 Academy Awards, 2 Pulitzer Prizes and 2 Grammy Awards, and have been performed countless times on amateur and professional stages around the world.
