Past Times For Children: Cleaning Habits

Staying clean and healthy was very different in the 1800s.  A bath was taken once a week for church.  With no indoor plumbing, there were no indoor bathrooms.  And brushing ones teeth was creative.  Children will experience the 1800s through creative play, games and activities. This class is a favorite among children due to the imaginative way they will brush their teeth and shave their face. Materials from the class will be sent home with them.

Classes are held on various Saturdays from 10:00 am to 11:15 am. Classes are held at the Koontz-Yingling Learning Center at Cockey’s, 216 East Main Street, Westminster, MD.
For each class, there is a $6.00 charge which includes materials. Pre-registration is required; registration closes the Friday before the Class.
