Historical Society volunteer, Austin Hewitt, explores the objects offered in just one of the Historical Society’s educational travelling trunks. The WWII trunk offers students the opportunity to learn and see what supplies a solider would have carried with them. Over one million men joined the military to fight during WWII, about 2,500 of them from Carroll County. The number of WWII veterans is dwindling, preserving their experience is essential.
