Speaker: Robert Lemieux, curator of the Icons of American Animation exhibit, now on display at the Carroll County Arts Center and McDaniel College’s Rice Gallery, will walk us through the history of this popular artform, astoundingly well represented in this collection of 150 classic animation drawings from Famed Studios such as Walt Disney and Hanna-Barbera. The art is from Mike & Jean Glad and the Glad Family Trust. In planning for this exceptional and not-to-be missed display, Lemieux, Associate Professor of Communication and Cinema at McDaniel College, assembled an impressive team involving McDaniel College, the Carroll County Arts Council, and the Corcoran School of Arts & Design at George Washington University, with professional assistance from the National Gallery of Art.
