Carroll 250 Event: Talk ‘Round Town (February)

Join local architect Dean Camlin and retired National Park Service historian Winona Peterson for a conversational talk on how historic preservation can strengthen community identity and engagement. The discussion will explore both the philosophy of preservation and practical pathways such as grants, partnerships, and working with preservation organizations.

About the speakers: 

  • Winona Peterson brings 41 years of experience with the National Park Service at historic site including Gettysburg and Fort McHenry and now serves on the Preservation Maryland board.
  • Dean Camplin is a licensed architect with decades of experience designing historic and civic projects in Taneytown and throughout the region, including the recent renovations to City Hall.
