Strategic Action Plan
We are thrilled to share with the membership and public the Society’s 2023-2025 Strategic Action Plan. Many of the Plan’s highlights are featured in HSCC’s 85th Anniversary documentary. At this time, the Society is especially focused on the following initiatives:
- Launching our campus improvements campaign to move our research library in Cockey’s, expanding educational opportunities in the Shellman House, and finishing our walkway and entryway accessibility work.
- Expanding resources on our Digital Library and Collections Hub to make our vast collections more accessible to all.
- Creating programs and events that inspire and thrill our community.
There is much work to be done but our unified team of volunteers, staff, donors and members are making it happen!
2023-2025 Strategic Action Plan
Dear Society Members, Supporters and Friends,
On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the Historical Society of Carroll County, I am pleased to share with you the enclosed HSCC 2023-2025 Strategic Action Plan. Thank you for your constructive feedback and commitment to the mission of HSCC. The Plan is a living document and the Board of Trustees is committed to reviewing it often and updating it regularly.
I am also thrilled to report that our annual fund goal was surpassed this year! The Society reached $63,810, an extraordinary feat! In the fall, HSCC will again kick-off its annual appeal after the annual meeting of the membership on October 31st 11:30am at Best Western Westminster.
Another great event in the fall is the Society’s annual Bluegrass, Bourbon and Bocce on September 10th 4-7pm held at Union Mills Homestead. Mark your calendars and keep your eyes out for the invitation postcard this summer.
Finally, if you are not yet “officially” a member, now is the time to join. The final page of the Strategic Action Plan highlights HSCC membership and the easiest way to join. Individual memberships are $50, senior memberships are $40, senior household $55, and family membership $75. New members can now sign up using the enclosed 50% off discount code.
Words cannot adequately express the Society’s appreciation for the Carroll County history community, our members, and every partner dedicated to the mission of HSCC.
Sincerely,
Jason Illari
