Carroll 250 Event: What a Revolution! A Dress in Two Days DAY 1

Sherry Hartman, seamstress extraordinaire, will be recreating this beautiful Revolutionary War era gown of Mrs. Mordecai Gist, pictured. She and several other ladies will be crafting this gown by hand. They will welcome the public in to ask questions and watch them create the gown as it would have been made by the original seamstress. There is also some mystery around the lady wearing the gown as to whether she is Mordecai Gist’s first or second wife.
