Carroll 250 Event: What a Revolution! A Dress in Two Days DAY 2

DAY 2:

Sherry Hartman and her group of talented seamstresses will be continuing to recreate this beautiful Revolutionary War era gown of Mrs. Mordecai Gist, pictured. They are crafting this gown by hand. They welcome the public in to ask questions and watch them create the gown as it would have been made by the original seamstress. There is also some mystery around the lady wearing the gown as to whether she is Mordecai Gist’s first or second wife.
