Join the Taneytown Heritage & Museum Association on 4/27 at 7pm for a program by Sam Riley on eighteenth century taverns in the crossroads community of Taneytown, MD. Hear about early taverns in the area and the important role they played in our Nation’s founding era.

About the Presenter:
Samuel Riley is a Carroll County attorney and retired Army National Guard officer who writes and speaks on local history. His written work includes “The Road Most Travelled: The Shrivers and the Turnpike,” Carroll History Journal (Fall 2019). He serves as President of the Board of Governors of the Union Mills Homestead Foundation.
