CARROLL 250

Box Lunch Talk: Westminster’s Citizen Soldier of the American Revolutionary War presented by Tim Dioquino

Joshua Gist (1747-1839) was a Patriot during the American Revolutionary War, a long-time resident of Westminster and a colonel in the Soldier’s Delight Battalion of Baltimore. He also commanded the 20th Regiment of the Maryland Militia at the time of the Whiskey Rebellion. We will hear about his life in Carroll County and his notable contributions.  Tim Dioquino is the Secretary, Westminster Chapter, Maryland Sons of the American Revolution and the America 250 SAR State Committee Chair.

As always, there is no registration for Box Lunch Talks. You bring your lunch, and we provide the drinks and desserts (thanks to our volunteers and staff). The cost is $3 for HSCC members and $7 for nonmembers.
