Carroll 250 Event: What a Revolution! A Dress in Two Days DAY 2: A Gown for Mrs. Gist

A Gown for Mrs. Gist.

Visit the Historical Society of Carroll County and engage with mantua makers, milliners and seamstresses as they create an 18th gown, influenced by a portrait of Mrs. Mordecai Gist, attributed to Charles Wilson Peale.

Dressed in 18th century clothing, the ladies will be reproducing a stylish silk sacque back gown, to be displayed in July.

Two workdays are planned for public interaction.  Saturday, May 16 and Saturday, June 13 from 10:00 am-3:00 pm.

This is a free event. No registration is required.
