The Historical Society of Carroll County provides educational programming and curriculum resources that place the County’s unique heritage within the larger context of the American experience. HSCC believes in the power of authentic historical study to spark curiosity and creativity, to promote cultural understanding, and to strengthen our democracy.
Drawing on its collections and its historical expertise, HSCC engages young audiences in the study of our collective past by utilizing object-based inquiry and critical thinking skills. These methodologies deepen content knowledge, develop 21st-century skills, and foster an empowered and engaged citizenry.

Historical Exploration
The Historical Society’s mission is to make history available for the local community. HSCC offers two monthly programs that contribute to the celebration of local history, Past Times for Children and Box Lunch Talks and assisting scouts in earning their merit badges.
